Katie started in the hair industry at 18 years old at Vici Beauty School in Greenfield WI. She graduated in March of 2019 and has worked in many areas around Milwaukee. Coloring and blonding was her first love. Doing custom looks really fuels her fire, and she loves how it lets her creativity run wild. Katie loves everything color spanning from all tones of brunette and reds, but blonding is her favorite. She’s been obsessed with all kinds of hair products since she was a little girl, so if you need any kind of recommendations for anything, she’s your girl! Katie has been offering ktip extensions since April of 2022, and in August of 2023 she became certified in Invisible Bead Extensions! Whether you only need one row of extensions to help you feel better about any problem areas in your hair, or wanting to add 2-3 rows to transform into a mermaid, Katie can help you achieve any look you’re dreaming of! Even though religion and spirituality wasn’t present in her childhood, Katie has always felt a calling towards something bigger than her, and it hasn’t been until the last few years that she’s started to open up to her spirituality. Katie has always had an interest in astrology. She would always check her and her friends’ horoscopes in high school to get guidance and give her friends advice, but she really didn’t know much more past what she would read on social media and in magazines. In 2017 after her grandmother passed, she decided to start the journey of building her personal belief system, and started with astrology. After extensive research of her own and receiving readings, she began to help her loved ones dissect their birth charts and help them learn about their own placements and how it’s relevant to their life. At the beginning of 2023, she started one on one classes with her mentor, and now can give readings and decipher any birth chart put in front of her. Astrology was the gateway to her spiritual awakening, and it has helped Katie realize that she was meant to help others in this way. During her spiritual journey, Katie became reiki attuned in early 2022, took both in person and virtual workshops on manifestation, attended a cycle syncing workshop, took a virtual tarot course, and attended dozens of classes and events. Katie not having a religious or spiritual upbringing has been beneficial to her, because she is extremely open minded and curious to learn about multiple healing methods and belief systems. Katie graduated from a catholic high school, and her husband Keenen was raised christian, so she’s also had exposure to a few denominations of christianity as well. She attended a local church and connected with a pastor to see how spirituality and religion can actually coexist harmoniously. If spirituality interests you but you’re unsure how to incorporate it into your religious beliefs, or you don’t have any belief system at all, Katie is the perfect person to start your journey with because she can meet everyone exactly where they’re at. When Katie isn’t working with clients, she keeps herself busy expanding her knowledge of both hair and healing things. She listens to business and spiritual podcasts daily, reads all kinds of books, and watches technique videos on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as connecting with other IBE stylists. She also has a podcast, The Pursuit of Healing, that releases new episodes every Monday! She also loves to cook, work out, explore local restaurants and cafes, hang out by the lake, and spend time with her loved ones. Katie and Keenen have been married since August of 2022, and they have two cats, Molly and Howie, who are their babies. Lilac Moon will charge the outstanding balance after the booking deposit for any no shows or cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment. All charging will be done with discretion.
